347 stroker
I want to build a 347 stroker for 93 stang. Want to use factory computer, cam, heads, balancer. Any suggestions.
May also add the 1.7 roller rockers. Hey, I just want it stroked.
Kit by
prebalanced for 50 ounces.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but a 347 stroker will give you very little performance gains if you keep the stock heads. The cam and computer are fine but the stock heads have to go. The stroker kits are not cheap and I would just use the money for the stroker instead on good aluminum heads for the 302. It will make much more power. Just my opinion.

347 stroker
The original question is, "Will it work?" Vfast said I need a 28 oz balancer. Is that really the balancer and flex plate. Would one off an 81 302 work? I am not concerned if it does not peal the paint off everything I pass or that tries to pass me. I am looking for more low end torque. If I want aluminum heads, I can always do that later. While the block is out, I would like to stroke it. I spoke with the guys from Ford Motor sports and they said that a 347 would be a great place to start. Has anyone done this conversion and ran the rest of the factory stuff?

if ur planing on building up the 347 (ie heads, intake, etc.) then go with the 347. if not,u should probablybuild up the stocker. for the money of getting the 347 done, you can have a sweet 302 (heads, cams, intake, pulleys, injectors, fuel pump, tb, intake, exhaust). 347 are sweet, but expensive. also, if you build up the 302 now and u decide later that you want to convert to 347, everything should be compatible <IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">.
