Exclamation need help! foxbody problems

hi. i have a 1993 5.0 foxbody that wont currently start. heres what happened

i had just bought a brand new battery to get her runnin again and i put the new battery in and put the terminal cables on and tighetned them up with the wrench, well it just so happens that the wrench was magically the perfect size to touch the terminals together, when i DROPPED the wrench. so i see something spark out of the corner of my eye and its was next to my 6al msd ignition box. note that i havent turned my car on yet at this point, and i touched the msd box to see if it was hot and it was relatively warm, but when i touched the ignition coil it was scolding hot. now idk if my ignition coil has gone out or if it was my starter or what because my starter wont even make a noise, at all. i even tried touching the things on the starter to make it satart from the starter and nothing. has this happened to anyone else? or is this just my horrible luck with cars?

Doubtful that you harmed anything, unless the wrench sat on the posts for a while. There's fuses in the system to catch mistakes like that, so if everything is still powering up, you'll need to do some testing.

do you think it could be a fuseable link? i know i saw a spark and now the starter wont engage at all. but it will popstart if i pushed it hard enough so idk

I think if the fusible link is bad you will not have ANY power; no dome light, no headlights, etc.
