Default help with timing light revelations 95gt 5.0

i just bought a yellow 95gt mustang with the 5.0, car seemed laggy but nothing a tune-up wouldnt fix so i thought, so i proceeded to the full tune-up.. fuel filter, air filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc... and decided to time the car out also to ensure it wasnt off, upon connecting the light i found an issue ive never encountered b4, (no exact pattern just an example because it had no defenate pattern) after say 20 flashes on cyl 1 it would miss a few times and then back to 20 consecutive then the misses, decided to check the rest not to time but to see if missing was on all cyl and it was, i then checked the coil wire to see if it was constant and it hit without a flaw, any ideas?

Hard to say, really. Could be a visual illusion set off by flashing lights, could be the primary coil windings.

If you don't notice any side effect of it, like a stumble in idle or anything like that, I wouldn't worry about it. It could be an anomoly of your timing gun too. If not, it's either gonna be the coil, the TFI, the PIP, or the ECM. One of 'em can't keep up. Most likely is the coil, as it's the only one that actually charges up. Once the primary coil winding starts to die, you experience things like erratic idle and stumbling, once you hit the gas it's fine because the secondary windings up the ante.
