Default Help! annoying clicking noise

Hi, 1st time Mustang owner. My '88 GT 'Vert makes an annoying methodical clicking noise in the driver's door after car is running. Almost sounds as if the door lock is trying to actuate. From reading numerous posts and articles, I am pretty sure my locks are rendered inoperable. Any ideas what this noise is?

Thanks Matt. Just went out and checked. Doesn't matter if window is up or down, door open or closed, still makes the noise. It happens about every 8 seconds, originates in the door latch area and sounds like a click on and off.

Hmm. Well, time to pop it open. I suspect maybe some frayed wiring in the door jamb.

Its not your speaker by chance..? If one of the plugs are dangling it will make a sound from speaker.

+1 on noise from power lock actuator. Pull door panel and have a look.

To be more precise try looking at rubber over lock actuator to be twisted.
