Default Idle Air Control ?

I just got a 94 Mustang GT the other week and have been doing some tune up on it. New plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. My idle has been rough and has gotten better with the things i have done so far. My main question is will the car still run if i unplug the IAC?? I cleaned it the other day and unplugged it while running and it didn't change anything. I've tried to search to find that but no luck.

I wouldn't do it, its there to control air flow when the throttle is closed, you may end up with a no start situation and can end up with idle issues. Why exactly would you think leaving it unplugged would help anything?

I didn't leave it unplugged. I did go out today and purchase a new one and installed it. The idle is better, but it will still surge after restarting when it's hot. Now I have noticed that they have bypassed the egr and blocked off all vacuum lines but it's still plugged in. I get and egr code when I check the light. Could that be my problem when restarting after the engine gets warm?

Doubtful. Spray some starting fluid/carb cleaner around the lower/upper intake gaskets while the idle is surging and see what happens.

Mine was having idle issues about 6 months ago, except mine would idle around 1500 rpm. I cleaned my maf w/ a q-tip, and also cleaned the iac w the same maf cleaner. Clean around your throttle body valve too, just in case it might be sticking. If you're working w sensors though, its always a good idea to unplug the negative terminal on the battery to let the computer reset.

I wonder how many times we have to explain why this doesn't do anything. I'm gonna start a ticker.
