Yes, it was a stock bottom end. number 1 crankshaft bearing (1st one in front of block) started loosing oil pressure at idle and at cruising speeds so the crankshaft bearing and cap broke off and cause a whole lot of mess.
that is strange from what I have seen. Most of the time it is the bearing furtherest from the oil pump that shows the most wear. I have never seen someone break a 302 block though.

I've never seen anyone break a block it being stock with no power adders. but this happened due to lack of oil pressure and the wear on the crankshaft seals and this also happened at about 4,500 rpms so catastrophic failure was bound to happen.
