Default Gas tank question.

I'm building a 1997 track car with a carbureted Explorer 5.0 (So it's pretty much a 95 GT drivetrain-wise).

Will an old carb'd Fox body tank bolt in the place of the SN95's?

Did the old ones have an in-tank fuel pump?

It dosnt matter one way or another you just have to change the sending unit so that it is the old pick up type. I had a 95 mustang that i put a 68 carbed 302 in and all I did was change the sending unit out and run my 2 lines up to the mechanical pump. The tank was the origanal 95 tank. You can still use the electric fuel pump to if you get a fuel pressure regulator for a carb it just diverts most of the fuel back to the tank so you only get like 7 or 8 psi at the carb.

Looks like the prices went sky-****ing-high on these, but I'm sure with some thrifty eBay'ing you can find one cheaper. Also, 86-97 tank wise.
