i double check all everything to make sure it hook up right and it is..

it sounds to me like you dont have the positive wire hooked up right or just loose, and then again it could just be that the battery is dead

I took this starter solenoid back again and just return it and went and got one from a ford dealer..i'm going to see tonight when i get home if that will take care of it.

mine did that a few times.... was starter soloniod.. took me 4 tries to find one that worked right... ive got over 50 starts with it now and am happy. although now since replacing the last one now my radio dont work...fuse is good but radio wornt turn on...

Well i put in a motorcraft soloniod from ford and it still doing the same thing.

that the 3rd one.i am getting power now,just cranks after i turn key and will not stop..any other ideas?

Stop guessing and start testing. It's a very simple system.

S-wire to the solenoid should only have voltage while the key is in the start position. Check that.

Solenoid should only be switched while the S-wire is hot. Check that.

Starter should only have voltage if the S-wire is hot and the solenoid is switched. Check that.
