I'm looking for advise regarding start up of fresh stroker motor. I had my "ASE BUDDY" build my 347 stroker with Trick Flow upper while I was doing the body and paint. Now he is out of town and I'm having trouble with start up. The motor cranks, but blows more air out intake tube than probably out exhaust no matter what timing is set at, or if it set up with 302 or HO firing order. I hope it's right in front of me and i'm not noticing it.

Check timing on #1 cylinder, make sure you are not 180 out.

HO firing order, bring piston #1 to TDC and then point rotor to #1 position on the cap. (DO NOT POINT ROTOR TO #1 PISTON)

Thanks javila2468, mar46 and tin man. You guys were right, I was off 180 and still set on 302 firing order. Ten minute fix and fired right up, best 5 second of sound I have heard in a long time. That sound made the the last year of hard work worth it. The next thing is to get another set of hand and eyes to do a real start up and running break in. Thanks again guys.
