Default Intake questions...

So, I have a bbk 70 mm MAF with BBK CAI and a 55 mm TB. I want to change the TB to a 70 mm w/ egr spacer. I have 19 pound stock injectors. Would I need to change out my injectors if I got to a straight 70 mm intake? or can I just stay with my stock injectors?

Your injectors should match what your MAF is calibrated for. If you have a 19# MAF, don't change them.

Stock injectors are fine, as long as that's what the MAF is calibrated to.

Just a side note, you dont need bigger injectors unless you are modded over stock by a good bit!

I ran a set of 30`s with a MAF calibrated for 19`s for 3 years just ran a little fat but never hurt anything it was a cushion for the nitrous i was spraying at the time, but if you are SD then i wouldnt try it!

When upgrading a induction system even if it is only the piping you need to do it right! Keep your diameters going from bigger to smaller all the way to the TB, dropping in small increments to insure velocity picks up as it move into the plenum! You will gain snappy carb like throttle response doing so, you can do like some and go from 90mm down to 65mm and have a hesitaiton that you cant figure out!!!

Yes yes it sounds a little weird but try it and see if you have time try 2 different setups, like a 73mm induction system into a 70mm tb and run it on the stock ecm no tuning, then use a 90mm or so into a 76mm piping or custom 90mm piping into the same 70mm tb you will notice the difference!!
