Power Steering going out?

Power Steering going out?
1995gt
When I'm sitting at idle and turn my wheel fully to the right or left the car will die. This happens if I'm low rpms and turning (generally into a parking spot). I'm wondering if this is the power steering pump due to the added "drag/stress" that takes place when turning as the pump is working harder.
I have a cam so the lope drops the rpms at points and as stated above when turning, I'm wondering if the added drag/stress drops the rpms enough to kill it.
If this is a the problem, are there any after market steering pumps? Thoughts on a manual steering rack?
Thanks for any info you guys can drop on me!

I wouldn't condemn the pump just yet. There are testing procedures but you'll need to find yourself a power steering pressure analyzer kit to do the tests, though.
I'm more inclined to think the IAC is a bit sticky. Though there is also a chance of a sticking relief valve in the pump.
