so i just went to a junkyard and took the intake upper/lower off a 99 explorer. its in very good condition. now whats it take to install it on a 95 5.0 stang. it is direct bold on or do i need other stuff to throw it on. i am going to get all new gaskets and what not.

i haven't done the swap yet but i plan on doing the gt40 head swap along with the upper/lower intake swap from an Explorer 5.0, but from what i can tell its a bolt on and new gaskets is a good idea whenever you remove the intake.

ok thanks, thats good then, thats also what im going to do but upgrade the heads.

Also you might need to cancel out the smog/air (im not sure of the name) lines that are currently connected to the back of the heads.., the gt40's if im right do not have those holes behind them for the smog.
