Yikes. Really guys? It's the mufflers hitting the driveshaft. Does no one understand geometry?

So i put in a different rear end the other day, and no more scratching with folks in the back! Go figure. I guess it had nothing to do with the suspension after all.

I replaced it because there was some serious noise coming fom the differential. I replaced the whole thing and now everything feels better :-)

Cool....after rereading the original post it kinda sounds like the problem my dad's ranger has....stripping the splines on the axle and spider gears. So either A it was an axle issue or something before was loose and you tightened it up when it was put back together.
