Here's a better pic of the stud. You can see the spacer better in this one, it's been painted blue to match the color scheme:

I realized you had to lift the plenum to get the nut on there. Its the center bolt above the emblem thats giving me grief

I cant think of why you would have the issue you are having, cut a few threads off where it sits flush may just be the wrong bolt it happens you have humans packaging these things just keep that in mind lol!

When I measured everything, I'd be cutting 3/4" away from 1" of thread. That's just to get it to touch the plenum, not actually torque it down. I was going to cut it to begin with until I realized how much thread I'd be taking away

Call Trickflow they will send you a replacement bolt in most cases absolutely free of charge, tell them the problem... They are good people.
