Default IAC and valve covers...

I am still working on my trickflow track heat kit, and am running into some problems..

1 I got the upper intake on, with my bbk tb and spacer. With the IAC installed there is not enough room to plug in the IAC connector. I thought this was only an issue with tall valve covers not these little trickflow ones. Can i turn the IAC 180 degrees so the connector is facing the opposite way or will this affect the way it works ?

2 For some reason my belt will not fit now, is it possible the trickflow heads accessory ports are higher then the stock heads? Any one else encounter this because i was scratching my head on this one ...

I know an intake spacer would probably give me the clearence i need but i cannot afford a cowl hood..

1) Is the wire just not reaching? If so, cut the wire and solder in some more to extend it. Space the solder joints about an inch apart from each other if you can. Don’t forget to add heat shrink to each solder joint.
2) No idea on that one. Good luck...

Remove some tape on the harness to give you more room if that's the problem. I don't think the IAC will work properly turned upside down.

The IAC is a simple fix as stated above. For your #2, what did you change to make the belt not fit? Different pulleys? Removed A/C? Is this a new belt or an old belt? Fitting too tight or too loose?

IAC, I assume you're meaning that the connector won't fit inbetween the valve cover and the IAC. Try plugging it in with the intake loose and not in place, then bolt it down. Should clear.

Belt thing, I imagine you have 1 bracket mis-installed.

The trickflow heads do sit a bit higher than stock heads (thats the need for the 6.75in pushrod over the stock 6.25) could cause a belt issue especially if you deleted anything? The IAC will work either way you install it, the vlv still opens and closes to meter the air thru the same size ports on both sides of the vlv!

Or delete the EGR spacer.
