T5 input shaft question
So while installing my t5 into my 90 5.0 the pilot bearing has play, realizing its a 4cyl trans... What pilot bearing will fit or can I swap out input shafts? Thanks

im not sure inputs are interchangeable. know that a 4 cyl t5 is NOT world class, while a 8 cyl T5 from 1985 and newer IS world class

Yeah it's a borgwarner. I read somewhere that there a pilot bearing I think from a 80s ranger that fits but I cannot find where I read that

Pilot bearing out of a 84 diesel ranger works. As long as you don't go ripping and tearing on it, it should last until you get a new trans.
I'm not sure if the input shafts will change out in the 4cyl trans but I know they will in the v6 trans.

Tried the ranger bearing and didn't work, it was too big for the input shaft.
The trans has byn rebuilt in recent years, don't know the specs

Will do. We are completely lost, the ranger and 4cyl bearings are the same part #.
