Car won't stay running
Please help! I have a 1967 Mustang with a late 80's 302 and a '94 fuel injection system. This is how I bought the car. Recently the car has been acting up. She won't stay running. I have already replaced the MAF, IAC, and TPS. I don't know too much about fuel injection and really need some advice. The car will start and once she idles down, will begin to sputter and then die. Sometimes she will run longer than others. No longer than roughly 5 minutes. Other times, as soon as the idles drops. Thanks!

When the conversion was done to fuel injection did they keep the egr?
It sounds like what happens when the egr valve is not closing all the way. Introducing exhaust gas into the intake at idle will cause the engine to spit sputter and die. Sounds similar to mine I have a 89 block with 94 fuel injection system I had similar problems until I did an egr delete. You can also clean the egr valve with some brake cleaner and compressed air.

well if there was one it would be right behind the throttle body on the intake .
Check for vacuum leaks and do like Matt says and pull the codes.
suspects will be o2's ect and iat. Considering you have replaced the maf tps and iac.
When you changed the maf and tps did you check the plugs for the correct reference voltage from the ecm?

above is information on testing the various sensors and there reference voltages from the computer.

the egr is supplied with a vucuum singal from the egr vacuum solenoid located in the passenger side wheel well . The solenoid is supplied vacuum from a vacuum port on the intake just behind and above the egr valve.
