Go simple on your trouble shooting. Put a vacuum gage on and verify that it is not a vaccum leak due to a misalign gasket, or ports. I have seen a coupe home installs on 5.0 intakes that this was the case. Would not idle, sometimes a backfire. Just my 2 cents. Mac

Could be a leak. I've read that the SSI is notorious for the upper and lower not aligning right because the aligning points are off. I read that some people just filed or sanded the points so that there could be space for proper alignment.

Atleast I don't have the Leaky crossover on the fuel rail problem. I might just put it up for sale and get me a real intake that doesn't need any modifications to work. Too bad they came out with this product without actually testing it in real life. I had more respect for bbk before this. I'm not ganna give up until I get this bich workin because I really like how it looks. Thanks for the help guys!.
