Bucks in first when cruising in a parking lot
My 94 gt bucks when I'm in first while cruising down a strip mall or so, could it be an Aftermarket cam? Or a problem?

Inspect your clutch. Mine does that too, but I know my clutch is shot

If you have an aftermarket cam, do you know the camshaft specs?
If you were experiencing a "chatter" from your clutch, it would do it only when taking off from a stop. If it is happening when rolling around a parking lot in 1st at an idle, then it's the camshaft.

If you have an aftermarket camshaft, it will "lurch" when idling through a parking lot. Mine does it really bad, but I have a very aggressive camshaft.

That's what I thought, and I have no idea the guy I bought it froms dad put it in and died a week after I bought it. Sounds fishy, but I saw it in the paper. Yes its a lurch its a lopy consistent one to, it'll cruise then lurch cruise....... lurch.

I think what you are experiencing is the play in the drive line. since it is idling in 1st the engine is not exerting force on the drive line constantly because the rpms are lower . The drive line gets ahead of the engine rpm the engine then catches up as the car slows again. My 94 does this also in first with the engine at idle. I have a good clutch and I have a stock cam. In second gear idling it stops doing this because the gear ratio in the trans and rear diff are high enough now that the engine keeps a constant force on the drive line.
