Default Removing & replacing the front cam bearing

I have a 302 short block and the front cam bearing is not installed properly, one of the oil holes is not lined up. Can the front cam bearing be removed and replaced with out removing the bottom end?

No the install tool is about 3ft long! If your that far into it a 25$ set of bearings wouldnt be out of the question.... an too was it installed wrong or did it spin? Big difference in the action you should take...

Yes, the cam spins but the bearing oil hole is not lined up with the oil hole on the block

usually you cant tell until you look at the bearing journal once it has been removed and the back of the bearing itself to see if there are rotational marks on either.

If it spun pending how bad you can just replace it and go on if not you may have to line bore the cam journals!
