Default Supercharger + Engine reassembly

So after running into tons of issues with my engine, I decided I was going to tear it down to a short block and reassemble it with new gaskets and what ever needed replacing.
I'm also adding a supercharger that I have already purchased several months ago...This one
I also have:
Ford racing 30lbs Injectors + Pro-m 75mm MAF for 30lb
Tweecer RT for when its running

Was wanting to know if I should use the FMU (with the correct calibration disk) or ditch it, and what I should upgrade for when I put it together for around 200-300 dollars.
Thanks

The engine is a 1988 5.0 converted to MAF. I believe it has the cobra heads and intake.

You can ditch the FMU but I would not trust 30# doing it. I would use nothing less then a 42#

^^^^^ yup
If your tearing it down do forged internals. Tearing it down just to replace gaskets is silly (unless they leaking).

SCTs are always good MAFs but u can use your stock MAF w/ a Diablo MAF extender.

SCT's are made by Pro M, or at least my SCT 2600 was. Supercharged engines don't like restrictions on the intake side, so the MAF sensor should be 80mm minimum, IMO. Some aftermarket heads would really help.... I fourth the 42# injectors.

the sct meters need the proper transfer functions/tune to work in a fox, it's not a simple throw it on there and all is good, unless the op has a tuner such as a quarterhorse or the know how, the sct would not be a choice for him and use a stock 55mm maf with an extender on a s/c car?? NO reason to bottleneck the application.

my point being the BA series sct's are not altered the way the typical "calibrated" pro-m's are and I use the term calibrated loosely as that can open up a can of worms.
