87-93 Vortech On A SN95??
Hello all. I'm new here and this is my first post. I recently acquired a '91 Mark VII w a Cobra top and a Vortech V1 SC. Its also got the black leather Cobra seats, all the Cobra badges and a set of AR Torque Thrust wheels. Too good of a buy as $500 to pass up. I also acquired a 95 GT. They both run fine but the Mustang had a hard life before I picked it up. My plan was to take the SC and Cobra top end and put it into the GT. I have a couple questions that I hope someone with they're vast knowledge can school me on. First, I was looking at a stroker block from DSS and I was wondering if I should go with this block or just have the stock block machined? I live in rural Montana and just figured it would be better to go with the DSS block for about $800. I was going to put a scat rotating assembly and a set of twist wedge heads on it and keep the cobra intake. Second, the SC is for the Fox gen 5.0 and I've been doing a bunch of research on if it would fit into the SN95 and cant really find a straight answer. I was wondering if anybody has done this? I figured as long as I kept the fox intake the SC output tube would have no problem. I've heard the sn95 throttle body and egr are different but that wont be a problem because I have both complete engines. My main concern with the fox SC is that it relocates the alternator down under the smog pump and I'm wondering about clearance on the SN95? Any info on these would be very helpful. Thanks in advance. I look forward to documenting the install.
