Default Baer brakes grinding??

Hello everbody my name is Mark and I'm new to the forum. I've had a problem with my brakes for the past year and can't determine what could be wrong. So here I go. I have the full baer brake kit installed on my 93 lx. When driving my brakes make an awful grinding noise which I can hear and feel with my brake pedal. Only does it under light braking. Brakes work great and quiet when used 40 percent and above. Funny thing is anytime im going in reverse the grinding stops completly no matter how much i apply the brakes. It just does it going foward and when I hit that sweet spot on the brakes. Took off my wheels to look. No rub marks on wheel, pads have plenty of surface left, rotors look fine. I'm just so confused. Any help would be appriecated. Thanks

Broke the pads in correctly? any kinks in brake lines? umm......

I've heard many stories of "race ready" brake packages being a little noisy. I buddy of mine has a Mitsubishi Evo with 6 piston willwoods on his car and they squeal like hell unless he is hitting em hard. it's just the way they are. maybe your setup is similar?

Most times if you've got one completely locked up, it can be salvaged with heat + muscle. I wouldn't expect a Baer system to be nearly as bad as I've seen. One might just be a bit sticky. Also if they have Orings on them, check them for crushing & other symptoms that will cause them to angle slightly in the bracket.
