Default Worn Clutch Cable?

I can't adjust the clutch cable anymore, even by pushing up on the quadrant. I only have to push the pedal in 1.5 inhes for it to disengage (clutch pedal grabbing too high).

The clutch was slipping weeks ago, but hasn't since. I tried adjusting it and it seems that when i push the clutch in i hear a whine, which sounds like the TOB.

I'm prettys sure there is not much life left in the clutch (same clutch from previous owner since 2006). So im wondering if putting in a new clutch cable might fix it. Thinking of getting the Ford racing clutch cable.

Thanks guys!

So i take it that the clutch cable won't solve the issue. I'm just hoping i can go a couple of months before fixing the clutch, since im saving for a move here real soon. Maybe i'll just get it anyways, since I'll need it soon, plus it comes with a clutch fork for too.

A clutch cable either works or it don't. You need a clutch.

if the pedal engagement is that high and you gotta adjust the snot out of the cable, looks like it's time for a clutch, Had a toyota corrolla this week like that, it got a new clutch and solved the prob
