Adding new heads to boosted setup, new cam?
Something I've been kicking myself for not doing when I put the intake on, I've still got e7s. Right now the longblock is stock. The clutch and tranny are still untouched. The rear is 31spline. Suspension is stock.
I run about 9-9.5lbs at max boost. I really don't want to take it any higher, in fact I'm hoping with new heads it'll drop some. Producing 365whp and 385tq with a modest tune.
I've got a set of gt40s sitting around. My debate is whether or not I want to step the cam up while I'm in there. Would the power gain be that much? Would it be too much? I'm weary of bringing the power too high, especially with stock suspension and drive-train components. I'll replace them eventually but I don't want to have to do it immediately.
Also, if I were to do a cam I'd do a setup which is conservative. I don't want any running nuances.
