Default Best top end for a 347

I just got a 347 stroker kit and all it needs is heads intake cam and lifters and I was wondering if someone could suggest a few thing's that would help me hit 400 hp if that's realistic with a fuel injected motor with flat top pistons. I want to use 64cc heads and these heads http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/3565097343.html
So if someone would be able to help me form a good top end around those heads to hopefully hit 400 hp that would be great

There's a lot of stock imports with nothing but a exhaust and a cold air intake that thinks that have some car out of need for speed or the fast and the furious and I want to blow them out of the water and show them what real hp

those heads are pure junk, the valvetrain components are china crap, do yourself a favor and get a set of tfs tw 185's or some tfs fac 190 cc's

You get what you pay for. Those heads are the same price as cast iron heads for a reason.

Edelbrock as well as AFR make real nice heads that would work for a 347 combo.
IMHO, you need at least 185cc intake port to see real power fron a 347.
Look on the kits paperwork, can you even use a twisted wedge head? What does it say about how much lift you can use?
Who's kit is it?
Forged pistons? Are they flat tops?
All this does matter BTW...........

Thats where an engine makes its power, essentially you're getting what you pay for. Don't cheap out on heads and still expect it to make good numbers.

What he said! Trick flow makes a top end kit that'll include the heads, intake and cam plus fasteners for $1800. It sounds like alot but it's not. You can also buy used AFR, Trick flow, edelbrock etc. heads for about half of what they'd cost new on craigslist or ebay. Look in the forums for sale sections also.

On my 84 drag car, we used stock1.6 ratio roller rockers from crower, can't remember the cam
specs, but we also used victorjr heads, its been racing for 5 Years with no problems 500hp. And 600 tq. On my street car I got a set of stainless steel rocker arms from comp that come with a lifetime warranty to put on a set of edelbrock e street 58cc heads

OP If you are trying to build a 347 remember that 302 parts won't let you make good numbers either.....
