Default T5 Transmission syncros

looking into buying a 1993 Mustang w/crate 306 the person selling it says the T5 Transmission syncros are going bad because it is hard to shift gears could this be true? if so how much do you think i should deduct from the price? (what is a fair rebuild/replacement cost) he also stated that he just installed a new stage 2 king cobra clutch. could they have installed something wrong?

deduct $1500 because of new tranny. Plus never assume that they're telling you the truth without documentation. I'm running the same issue not knowing everything about the parts in my car. He's just trying to get back what he put into it.

Could just be a bad clutch cable.? A cable that not adjusted right will make gear changes hard!
