Can i put an older vacuum advance distributer on an 88 5.0 gt fuel injected? Sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot. New and dumb still sorry

The computer wouldn't know where the timing was , or when to fire the injectors. Just get the correct dizzy for it they only cost about 100 bucks or so rebuilt .

Hey thanx for helping out dawson. I was trying to figure out what vacuum line to use on that other dist. I didnt even think about the computer not knowing when to fire the injectors. Lol we just rebuilt the heads and were playing with the timing and my bro inlaw broke the plug off of the dist. All he had was an old vacadvance dist. Ended up going to the junk yard and getting the correct one. Thanx again.

for efi applications, you need a tfi distributor or the car would not even start
