My last one was like that. Big screwdriver and a hammer hitting it so it spins left.

Not sure if you can get on it, but a big pair of channel lock pliers usually works. I, talk big like 14-18".

I've had one like that before and the channel locks did the trick. Of course it was the last thing I tried and was also ready to go ballistic.

This is where iam. I used the channel locks at 1st when i realized this filter was not budging. Channel locks punctured and caused me to rip the rest of it off. I also tried a nice big flat head s/d hammering and hammering and no luck.? Im ready to just tow it to the shop but what can they do to it that i cant besides having a lift.?

Is there enough room to fit a straight screwdriver or punch onto the edge of the square holes that are about a 1/2'' from the threads, and drive it around with a hammer? At this point there is not much left to work with.

try an air hammer with punch and drive it from the square holes seen in picture. If that doesn't work then you will have to split the sleeve that threads onto filter mount.

Damn you have destroyed that filter lol. You could try using the channel locks or some other grip, but get a buddy to help you. One of you underneath the car, grab the filter on the left and pull down. The other reaches into the engine bay an grabs it again on their left, but they pull up. I think you'd have to have a pretty good grip to do this. The torque you put on it from the both of you might be enough to break it loose
