Default Aftermarket Gauge Wiring

How do you guys typically go about wiring in aftermarket gauges? Do you wire them to the fuse box? I'm going to be getting an oil pressure gauge and air/fuel wideband, but idk how they're typically wired.

Well I go overboard I have been told, but I get a relay, I find an ignition triggered wire and use that as the trigger for the relay and run power to the gauges from the relay once the relay is all wired right.

+1 on that! And if you buy gauges with lights in them you will need to find a wire that comes off your light switch. If you want it all to work right. my 2cents

I've found that for aftermarket gauges I just connect the light power to the same as the rest of the gauge power. The lights being on whenever the gauges are on really isn't as annoying as you would think. A lot easier to wire as well.
