Hey guys, Im a member over at wranglerforum but I know you guys would be able to help me out much more. So Im in the process of looking for a 5.0 to put in my jeep. I found a 1989 5.0 short block that was completely rebuilt I could get for 350-400. I dont feel like buying all the bolt on, pan and everything separate to build up the short block. My question is if I pull a 96 explorer 5.0 long block from a junk yard, would I be able to just swap out the explorers short block and throw in the freshly rebuilt one? Or is it that just a flawed idea. Any input would be greatly appreciated! I'm hoping that I can get enough information tonight so I can make a decision. Thanks in advance guys!
