Post HeadLight/Fog lights Problem

Hey guys im Dan,

Recently bought my 89 GT Hatchback which came with a set of smoked aftermarket head lights and fog lights..I installed both my self and they were just regular bolt on and plug and play..no need to splice or change wiring of any sort.
That night i noticed that when i had both the Headlights and the Fog lights on at the same time that after a little while the lights would turn on and off (flickering, kind of)..but when i turned off the fog lights it would stop and it would be normal.
My question to you guys is, Do I need to change a fuse/relay or add something to give them more power( ex. resistor like HID's)? Or is this normal with aftermarket parts? The Bulbs are just the regular ones, not and HID's or anything.
I would like to drive at night with both on, but if that's not possible please let me know.
Thank You soo much for your time. Hope you have a great Day/Night.
Dan Q.

That should not be happening, as to how to fix it I don't know.

there is a tsb on rewire of fog lights using a relay, back in the day the oem wiring went through the switch, to juch current draw through the switch melted wiring, fuse box issues and so forth

Yup., plus with that new rewiring with the relay you will be able to use your fogs with your corners without headlights on.
