Hello I have an 89 gt hatch basically stock now lowering kit or suspension work that I know of. So with that said while driving if I hit a pot whole, speed bump, man whole... I hear a very loud bang coming from what seems to be the right rear wheel not certin as I am not a fast enough runner to run next to the car and listen... what I have checked rear shocks (visually) rear bump stops (both outside stops look and feel ok, center is broken and bent) tranny mount seems to be intact. please if anyone has had a similar problem or know what this may be please let me know or if there is something I am missing.

Likely a dead control arm bushing.

Any way to check that other then pulling it apart?

Good size screwdriver that you can use for prying action, stick it inbetween the bushing and frame and try to move it side to side, up and down, etc.. Any movement beyond a couple MM is not acceptable.
