Default relay and location

I have a relay that is bad. Its located in the engine bay on the passenger side in the area by the mass air meter. What is this relay to? looks exactly like the eec relay under the glove box.

dang it!!! thought it was somthing more important. its running super rich and crappy and i was hoping this relay was the issue. been after this gremlin for two years. thanks
i dont even have ac anymore. do i even need to replace this relay? will it hurt anything to not have this relay plugged in?

No, it just controls the a/c clutch. I would leave it. Check your other rich thread about the ecm.
