Default Spec clutch kit ?'s

I'm looking to stay in a $500-600 budget for a clutch and flywheel combo for my 89 GT with a Windsor swap. Is this clutch kit decent for the price? Has anyone had any good luck with Spec clutch kits?

That wont hold up. You need a Spec 3+. I smoked a stage 1 in my nearly stock 5.0. 3+ is a full face kevlar disc. Great clutch.

Basically none. From what Ive heard from guys who have driven one of those vs a puck clutch prefer the 3+. Said puck clutch chattered and was overall more difficult to drive.

Once I got mine broke in I was able to easily slip the clutch and have smooth shifts. When it was new it was a grabby SOB. Nearly stalled it pulling it off lift.

Ok thanks, I'll check out the 3+. I was leaning away from a puck clutch, this car is not going to be a dd but most of my driving will be on the street, not the track.
