1990 Mustang 5.0 Fox (HELP HELP HELP)
Replaced the engine is my mustang. Car has rough idle and has a nasty lope. I replaced the computer, oxygen sensors, plugs, wires, distributor, distributor cap and rotor, coil, ignition control module, TPS, AIC, EGR, PVC, injectors, all the vacuum hoses, and put a set of headers. None of this correct the lope or rough idle. Have anyone seen this or can point me in the right direction as I have replaced pretty much everything and have ran out of options. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I can hardly tell anything is wrong on the highway, it lopes horribly when idled or coming to a stop. It will actually shut off if I don't gas it. If I turn the A/C on, it lopes so hard , it will shut off. Took it to Ford and they couldn't find the issue. They said they made Horrible situation.

(lost half of my text on the last message) I can hardly tell anything is wrong on the highway, it lopes horribly when idled or coming to a stop. It will actually shut off if I don't gas it. They said they made sure timing order was correct and they put it in time but that was pretty much it. Horrible situation.

Try doing a base idle relearn.
Disconnect the battery's negative terminal to reset/clear the computer's memory. Leave it disconnected for 30 minutes.
Disconnect the plug going to your idle motor which is located on the front of your throttle body.
Reconnect your battery's negative terminal.
Start the engine, and set the idle to the rpm you want with the stop screw on the bottom of the throttle body. (arrow)
Turn off the engine.
Reconnect the plug on the idle motor.
Make sure all accesories (radio, blower motor, a/c, lights, etc) are off and start the engine.
Let engine run for two minutes.
Turn engine off and wait two minutes then restart engine and let idle for two minutes with all accesories on.

Believe it or not...after unplugging the negative cable and disconnection the IAC plug, the car will not crank. It just turns over and I can smell gas. I haven't plug the IAC plug back in yet. Do you suggest I do that to see if it starts?

Ok. I plugged the IAC back in and the car cranked but it still loped; until it cut off. Car didn't have to warm up to lope this time, it stalled in about 30 seconds. Unplugged the IAC again and attempted another start, it would not start. The I put my fee on the gas a little and it cranked but ran poorly. As soon as I let off the gas, it died. Plugged the IAC in again, and it started, loped, and then died in about 30 seconds. I'm truly lost!!!
