Default Plug wire melted, Now car wont start.

Car died while driving , i could tell throttle was off and engine was acting weird. When i was about to pull off freeway car wouldnt accelerate at all. Then it shuts off completely . I pop the hood , notice spark plug #4 is melted at the boot and not even on the plug anymore. I go ahead and replace the whole wire for # 4. Still not turning over , it cranks but wont start. I can smell gas under the hood, checked coil for spark , and checked plug # 1 for spark . What do i do ??

Did you have spark at coil / plug ?

Yea, i took the plug off the coil and got a spark. I took the plug off the #1 spark plug and got a spark . I can hear the fuel pump priming . It sounds like its gonna start on one crank then it just keeps cranking . Could the boot being melted and exposed like that for a little while cause it to short out something ??? No Cels either. I pulled KOEO codes and got a 10,11, and 96 . The 96 is because the wiring plug for the fuel pump needs to be replaced . ive already ordered one.

also i hit the valve at the fuel rail right next to the alternator and gas came out . Could it possibly be a bad fuel pump regulator?

Im more interested in why the boot melted off the plug. Did it get against a header or something? Also usually a missing plug wire wont make the car stall , it will have a definite miss to it but will still run enough to get home. It sounds to me like the engine over heated. If that plug wire didn't get up against a header then something made that #4 cylinder plug get extremely hot. Possibly very lean , or a blown head gasket , maybe even a burnt valve. Have you replaced the plugs? Or checked for spark with the spark plug in the wire to see if the plug is good or bad. I suspect that plug is fouled now.

I also don't think that a melted plug boot in itself is going to make the car die.
Something else is going on here.....

It was because of it being up against the header. I went ahead and replaced the wire as well as the plug. It still wont turn over, when checking the coil it was sparking on itself and not on the post on it , i replaced coil. Car still wont start, i have 12 volts at fuel pump and can hear it priming . When i unplug fuel pump or relay the car almost turns over, whats next ?

do you still have converters on the car. Sounds like the car is flooded. Hold your foot to the floor to stop the injectors from pulsing and crank the car.
