Default Gasket Matching

For those of you that gasket match -

Do you also match the coolant ports as well? Mine are slightly interfering by maybe 1/8". My intake ports are all matched, didn't know if the coolant ports need it as well

Lol Im always afraid to mess with the gasket around the cooling ports. I have always just left them the way they are. Always seems they are off a bit.

I can't say I ever thought of gasket matching the coolant ports, but I wouldn't do it thinking about it. Why take the risk, or put another way, what do you hope to gain?

Not over heating this big *** stroker lol. No but really, I just didn't want it to act as a blockage and have this thing over heat. That was the main concern. I didn't end up doing it, there wasn't that much interference once I got everything lined up.

Yea I don't know why but every intake gasket set I have ever installed never line up with the cooling ports on the heads.
I don't think it would have hurt to shave that little bit off , because I always am pretty generous with the ultra black around those any ways. I have just never bothered with them because it doesn't seem like that little bit would interfere that much with cooling the lower intake.
