Default Added weight, new front sway brace?

With the added weight of the Windsor block should I upgrade to an aftermarket front sway brace or just get higher quality bushings on the stock brace? I plan on doing the rear end suspension too but $$ is a factor this very second and I want to get the front end done while the motor is still on the stand.

Are you wanting to lose the weight you gain with the windsor?

The factory front sway bars on these cars are already pretty stiff. I personally went with a tubular to lose some weight, but keep the handling. If you're just after straight line performance, either switch to a 4 cylinder version, or none at all. Poly bushings will help regardless of the sway bar.

This is going to be a Saturday night car, pretty strictly straight line especially since I'm running skinnys on the front. Duncan I'm not too too worried about the weight gain, as there's nothing in the car except 2 seats. I'm building a custom aluminum dash, so there's literally nothing lol

Ah, I gotcha. I wouldn't worry about upgrading the sway bar except for the bushings, like reldla said. They're pretty stiff to begin with

I would take the thing off with what you are saying. I have not had one for years. Yes the car does feel a bit off hitting the curves but the solid arms in the rear make it feel the worst. you get use to it after while and know what you can and cant do. I just set the front struts on hard and that makes the car feel good again. lol works.

You don't get any body roll on entrance/exit ramps or anything?
