Door gap/ alignment specs needed
Driver's door appears to be way too close to the windshield, and has too much ( 1/2" +) gap at the rear edge. Does anyone have the page that shows the correct range for those gaps?
( This Mustang project is revealing more and more poor work by someone in the past. Both front inner fenders, forward of the spring tower have "issues". As in not welded to the spring tower section. Seems like the load was carried by the outer fender to support the front, inner fender. Car seemed a little loose.)

there is no measurement per say make it match the other side. if the other side is off put it where you think it should be or where you like it. if it wont move there then you may have issues. What part of MD are you at if you need some help let me know maybe I could help you out. I am a body man / painter.

Is there a minimum gap to the windshield post?

Just realigned my whole car after rebuilding half of it and I found that the rear gap should be about 3/16" and the bottom should be about 1/4". As far as up at the pillar one side is 1/8" other is about 1/16". Ive seen others that have about 1/4" so I guess it just depends on how well the body was put together at the factory. Keep in mind a small adjustment at the hinges equals a large adjustment at the striker.
