Car in the video has a sticking lifter.
I also think that the carb floats are not set right.
If your car gas the same symptoms it may well have the same problems.....
I maybe the last of the carb guys on this board....

It as not been doing like the car in the video since alternator wire was correctly hooked up. I do know the carb needs rebuilt as the idle is random when you push clutch in (goes up to around 2k until you tap throttle).

maybe someone can help with this:



My 85 does not have a pointer like that(the 1 and 2). IT only as the circle one #3 in image? Do i set my timing on the #3 for it?


... hope that makes sense, after 10 hour work day I'm... tired.

carb like said could need the floats adj. what is the fuel pressure at if it is to high it can drip also. You could also change out the needle and seat it will also make it drip.
Clutch adj. grab the clutch pedal and pull it to you it is a self adj. setup up if it is stock I think they were like that in 85 also I had one years ago and really cant remember.
Dont know about the tap if I cant hear it.
Sounds like the pointer is broke off or someone has changed it out. the hole from what I was told was for a scope back in the day.

It looks factory, does not look like anything was broke off it. Guess i could buy a different one for it.
