I just bought a 1993 Gt Convertible and I've already started modding, but my next mod id like to buy is gears. I'm leaning towards 3.73 with my 5 speed. I'm going to have a shop do it but I wasn't sure if I should buy the complete install kit, or figure the shop will replace the bearings and shims and fluid?

Get the complete kit. The bearings, races, etc. will be worn in. All new is the way to go.

where are you in Md?? I've done countless gear installs, got one this weekend in fact......also, get the complete install kit and I also usually recommend a t-loc rebuild/clutch pac kit as well, takes an extra 20 min to do it while it's out! Pm me if you want more details
