95 gt 5.0

Does anyone know what the HP gain will be if i swap out the stock intake and heads on a 95 5.0, with a set of gt40 heads and upper and lower intake from an Explorer 5.0? Thanks

With heads and intake you might see 25 or 30 hp gain. Drop in a good cam with the set up and you could very well reach 50-60hp gain (depending on cam and rocker selection) .

Swap the rear gears out to a set of 3.73 or 4.10s and it will feel like a heck of a lot.

95 gt 5.0

already has a ford E-cam and 3.73's. I don't know why they didn't change the heads with the cam. That was done before i got the car.

Yea it would have made a lot more sense to do the heads and cam together. Short of pulling the heads , to swap the cam every thing is torn down already lol .

I guess its possible that the car had much better than stock heads and intake before you bought it and they wanted to keep the heads and intake , so before selling they put the stock junk back on it.
