Cool '95 GT 5.0 Bellhousing alignment

Hey!
So I just took the engine out of my '95 GT 5.0 to do some work, and am now putting it back in, I got it on the motor mounts and bolted in, hand tightened the top couple of "bell housing to engine bolts" and the top half fits against the engine perfectly, but the bottom half is about a inch to a inch and a half away from the engine. I've done every thing I can think of, jack up the tranny, loosened the mounts and jack up the rear of the engine and the tranny at the same time, nothing works. Attached is a picture of it from the bottom. Any advice would help tons!!!
Thanks guys!
-Josh

Sounds like the input shaft is not in the pilot bearing. Take those top bolts out, you need freedom of movement to get the input shaft in the pilot bearing. If you did not center the clutch in the pressure plate before you bolted it down, you may not be able to get it in.

i usually pull the trans with the bell housing not attached makes it easier to drop out because it doesnt have the extra height from the bell when R&I'ing it
