Default Need GT40 Upper & Lower Intake Help

I'm 17 & for my first car recently just purchased a 94 Mustang GT. It's perfect condition with only 50k miles on the clock and last month just had the entire car repainted to fix all the chips and scratches. Anyway, here soon im parking it for the winter and going to do a few things under the hood for some extra horses. I have a few minor things done, (BBK CIA, Ford Racing 4.10 Gears, BBK O/R X-Pipe, MSD Ignition). But I hear that swapping out the upper & lower intake with the GT40 off a Explorer 5.0 is a cheap good way to add some extra horsepower. I was wondering where I can find the right one for my car and how hard is the install? Any other advice on some tips to add some extra horsepower or make my car run better would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

Pretty car! Basically the upper and lower intake from any 5.0 explorer or mercury mountaineer is what your looking for.

You will need the throttle body adapter from either edelbrock or professional products as well.

Apart from that it's all bolt on.

If you can find a 5.0l explorer or mountaineer in the junk yard that hasn't been robbed of the gt40 stuff, grab the upper and lower intake and while your at it grab the heads as well. The only way to take full advantage of the intake is to use the gt40 heads that come with the explorer. That's not to say that just the intake isn't good for some extra power but the heads along with the intake make the biggest difference.

Yeah took me forever to find my intake manifolds. Paid 60 for my upper and lower. Didn't have time to pull the heads that day and they were gone the next :-/
