Default Next steps in 5.0 build?

Hey guys i'm new here to the forum. I've had my Mustang for a few years now and just drive it on nice days. I have some stuff done to it but i finally want to go a little bit bigger. If anyone knows anything i should do, let me know. Here is my part list so far:

Ford Motorsport 1.7 Roller Rocker Arms
Moroso Cold Air Intake
Performance Solutions 130 AMP Alternator
MSD Coil
Ford Motorsports Spark Plug Wires
BBK Aluminum Underdrive Pulleys
Ford Racing T5 Z-spec Transmission
Lakewood Blowproof Bell Housing
King Cobra Clutch
B&M Short Throw Shifter
Ford Motorsports Aluminum Driveshaft
Ford Motorsports 4:10 Rear End Gears
MAC Ceramic Coated Shorty Headers
Summit 75mm Throttle Body
Summit 75mm EGR Valve Housing
Jegs 1/2" Intake Spacer
BBK Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
MAC Off-road H Pipe
Flowmaster 3" Mufflers
BBK Frame Connectors
Steeda Coil Springs
KYB AGX Adjustable Shocks and Struts
Hotchkis Caster Camber Plates
#25 Racing Spark Plugs
Dorman Radiator Fan
BBK TPS Sensor
Standard LX 223 Control Module

Im not looking for a pure race car. My goal would be a nice low 11sec street car. Let me know your guys opinions i would love and appreciate hearing them. Thank you very much.

Your budget will be the key to more power. Cylinder head change would be a start.

Im not really worried about the money. I want to do H/I/C, but im not sure of anyone around me that can tune. I want to stay NA. I've had many boosted cars and i just want to stay away. I dont mind dumping money into the motor but i dont want to dump $10gs into a fully built stroker motor if i can just put heads...etc...etc...etc on my 302 and be in the same ballpark. I'm was wondering if i put the full upper TF kit on that reaches 360hp is probably your best bang for your buck?

360 hp (at the crank) will get you mid to low 12's in a street car, maybe high 11's with good drag setup.

And welcome to the forum.

You definitely need heads and intake, and you don't need a tune with an 89, unless you're boosting or stroking. I also did not notice a MA on your list. A stroker engine will have 30-40 ci on a 302, and will make 30-40 hp more, all other things being equal. If your choice is h/c/i or stroking, my choice would be the h/c/i, assuming the short block is in good condition.

Your shocks, struts, and springs are not conducive to street strip performance driving with an 11-second target. Also, you're missing control arms like these:

Yep, time to spend moneys on suspension.
There are a lot of company's out there that make good street/strip type parts.
I also think that you need to run this car at the strip to get a baseline on what you have now........

then you won't be running low 11's with just a bolt together h/c/i, there have been many who get a h/c/i 302 in that range but don't be fooled then have done lot's of tunning and careful matching and tweaking of the combo, it didn't just come by buying a tfs kit and bolting it together......that way will yield 12's at best

I'd look at that ET estimator in the stickys, have a time you'd like to run, cross reference the weight of your car, and it will give you a pretty accurate hp level needed to run those times. We're not ripping on you, but your gonna have to be realistic in your goals.

300-350 rwhp in these light foxs make for very fun cars, and the ladies dig them too.
