I have a 93 5.0 lightly modded and its having a stalling problem and a couple other problems ive been chasing. 2 months ago the car was cutting out at high rpms and stalling real bad so i swapped out the distributor and spark plugs and that seemed to do the trick. now this morning i went to start the car and it was cutting out in the driveway and on the way to work was cutting out and died at a stop light. it took a while to start back up but it finally did and i coasted it to work.

so basically when the car is running it wants to die constantly it runs completely normal besides the cutting out. I wanna say its bad somewhere in the steering column ive checked all my obvious grounds, coil is good, distributors new, spark plugs are new, relay solenoids new, ignition switch is new.

heres a few weird things the cars been doing.
if i flick the ignition back just a hair while the car is running it dies, the starter stays engaged a few seconds after starting it up, and whenever i start the car up sometimes it makes a quick knock sound and kind of stutters when it starts but other times it starts just fine

This is my first mustang i have owned and before i start throwing money at it id love to hear some ideas from some of you guys and input would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe you got a bad ignition switch, that's happened to a couple people here. That's where I'd start.
