Default 90 5.0 erratic spark

I have a 1990 5.0 mustang that is getting occasional erratic spark, I've replaced the whole distributor, plugs, and tested the coil, nothing has fixed the issue, looking for any other ideas of things to check

When does this happen? Cold or hot or just one or the other. Often times a coil going bad will only act up when the engine is hot. So testing it won't always show if it's bad or not.

Pick up a cheap coil, swap it out. If that's not the problem just take it back and say you never needed it. They won't know.

This is a shot in the dark, but my car was giving me all sorts of electrical and running problems. Ended up being a bad ground connection from the neg. cable on the block. Cleaned that up and night and day difference. Just something to check. Mine looked good, and was tight, but after taking it off revealed po never took the paint off the block under the connection.

Default Mine was bad coil wire connection at the coil

Just fixed mine that had the same symptoms. Coil is mounted on fender well and the wire goes across to the top of the coil. The metal connection was too
large and it suffered under any load...easy to fix - bend the connector with a pair of pliers until VERY tight - lube and put back on.

I've checked and cleaned both the pos and neg connections, that didn't change anything, the car won't start regardless of temperature, but I have heard of a fusible link on the ignition circuit that could possibly be the issue?
