Default 1986 GT Mustang five speed

In my last post I stated that I would be changing the stock gears to 373 hoping that will make a noticeable difference along with long tube headers and exhaust, will hold off on the cold air intake sense it looks like it doesn't make much of a difference. What is your thoughts on a chip as a way to gain some more horsepower and if it does give me more is Hypertech the best. Thanks
