are these heads cracked or ?
trying to clean up the heads a little more. upon close inspection i noticed these apparent cracks in the intake runners. one pic below is a wide shot to give you an idea of where the 'crack' is. the other 4 shots are each intake. these 'crack's are pretty much in the same place in each intake, and on both heads.
because they are so similar, im guessing its not some type of stress crack. im thinking its either normal situation during production of the heads, OR somebody did some work on the intakes and went a little too far.
there are also similar cracks in the exhaust bowls/runner whatever you call that area. not in the same location as the intake, but the ones in the exhaust are all similar to each other the way the intake ones are. im not posting the exhaust pics because doesnt seem to be any reason to.
heads obviously havent been to the machine shop yet, but im guessing the guy will be able to tell for sure or test them or something?
